The arrival of both the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus created a global phenomenon that is much bigger than all the previous iPhones before it. This is mostly owed to the fact that the sixth generation iPhones are much bigger than before.
While this is not anything new in the world of Android, the fact that the iPhone 6 comes with a phablet variant is truly something difficult to resist. After all, most previous researches revealed that majority of Android users avoided the iPhone due to its small screen size. With a larger screen, many are expecting more Android users to make a switch with the iPhones.
Then again, things didn’t go quite as what was forecasted. A recent market research revealed that the Android community are not quite interested with the brand new iPhones. Yes, the iPhone 6 did manage to bag more sales in its first month but things went downhill from the second month onwards.
However, it is also worth noting that 26% of Android users actually made the switch to the Apple iPhone 6. This is a quite a jump from the 15% mark that was recorded by the fifth-generation iPhones.
Regardless of the figures, no consumer can deny that the iPhone 6 is a great device overall. The large screen might improve on the iPhone’s user experience but it is something that is commonly found on Android-operated devices for years already. Apple will have to offer more if they wish to fully dominate the smartphone industry.
