Both the iPhone 5S and 5C were released on the same date and each of them has their own target audience to reach out to. When talking about the differences between the two, the first thing that consumers are able to notice is the colourful feature on the iPhone 5C.
In terms of processor, the iPhone 5S is equipped with a 64-bit A7 processor clocked at 1GHz which is way faster than the 32-bit A6 processor on the iPhone 5C. The 5S is also equipped with a co-processor chip which is a motion based technology. With it, users can utilize compass, exercise applications and many more.
Then there is the security of both devices. The iPhone 5C lacks the fingerprint scanner on the 5S. On the 5S, there is no way strangers can access the phone without unlocking the screen which can only be done with the fingerprint scanner.
Both devices stand on equal footing when it comes to camera capabilities. Both have that 8MP rear camera that can capture videos at 1080p. The 5S however has the dual flash feature which captures true to life colours. There is also the burst mode which isn’t available on the 5C.
The storage also varies for both devices. The iPhone 5C is limited to 16GB and 32GB models. The iPhone 5S has the 64Gb variant for storage hungry users.
As for the price tag, the 16GB 5C is $100 cheaper than the 16GB 5S. The difference between the storage spaces is also fixed at $100.
All that is left is for the consumers to decide. Is the $100 for the iPhone 5S worth it?
