The jailbreak came at a great time as fans are worried that there will never be an iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. The signs were so bad back then as no major jailbreakers showed any interest on this latest firmware.
On top of that, i0n1c left a psychological impact in the jailbreak scene by tweeting, “Your move, Evasi0n.” Ever since day 1, jailbreak users have been heavily relying on Evad3rs. They are like the deity of the jailbreak world. With signs of weakness shown on iOS 7.1.1, there could be a major power shift happening as we speak.
Evasi0n might see a competitor on the rise at the moment and is at risk of getting dethroned. On the other hand, i0n1c can’t get to where it is without taking over from where the jailbreak left off.
As of now, the challenge has been issued by i0n1c. The world can’t wait to see how Evasi0n will respond and that will happen when the iOS 8 gets released in the coming month.
