When it comes to the land down under, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and the iPhone 5 are the best-sellers and market dominants throughout last year. There are many other smartphones available but these two models have been the consumers’ choice.
There are many reasons for this. It could be due to the price and it could also be due to the specification. There is not much difference between the iPhone 5 and S4 Mini. Despite the latter having the word Mini attached to its name, the Samsung S4 Mini boast a much bigger display. It has a screen size of 4.3 inch whereas the iPhone 5 is only 4inch big. Heck, even the build of the S4 Mini is bigger than the iPhone 5.
As for performance, the S4 Mini runs on a 1.7 GHz dual core krait processor and Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1.5GB of RAM. On top of that, it comes with 8 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by up to 64 GB using a Micro SD card.
The iPhone 5 on the other hand runs on a 1.3 GHz dual core swift processor and Apple A6 chipset with 1GB of RAM. The iPhone 5 comes in three variants, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
Specs aside, consumers are cost conscious. The S4 Mini is sold at only $439.95 for the entry level version. An LTE version is also available for an additional $40. The iPhone 5 is a proven shocker as it carries a price tag of $839.95 for the 16GB variant.
Perhaps middle-incomers and below would definitely get the S4 Mini. It is better than the iPhone and also much cheaper. As for the rich community, the iPhone 5 is the ideal phone as it is exclusive and premium at the same time.
