Drivers who own the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C are definitely excited for the upcoming update to the iOS 7. This is due to the CarPlay feature which will be added in this highly anticipated update.
The CarPlay was introduced in last year’s Apple World Wide Developers Conference with the aim to allow drivers to enjoy the iOS on their vehicles.
The CarPlay is expected to send messages, listen to music, access calls, open maps and possibly browse the web. Of course, this is all done in a safe manner via Siri. A compatible steering wheel is needed and all the driver has to do is press that button and speak to the voice assistant.
All these can be done by simply connecting the iPhone with the car they are driving. The carmakers involved at making this project a reality are Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, BMW, Ford, General Motors, Honda and Hyundai. There is no doubt that more cars will be involved in this movement.
