This was until the company sent out a minor update to its 7.1. The newer iOS 7.1.1 came out with plenty of loopholes for hackers to exploit. Steffan Esser, or better known as ion1c, has been making a name for himself after producing the untethered iOS 7.1.1.
Today, more another jailbreak has surfaced and this time, it came from a Chinese lad known as YeongJin Jang. The fellow revealed on his Twitter account that the jailbreak was created by an unsigned app. Hence, the jailbreak is a tethered one.
Of course, the entire process is long-winded. Jang elaborated that he has to bypass the sandbox, get root permission and get into the code design.
While all of these sounds like great news in the jailbreaking scene, honest iOS users are utterly disappointed upon seeing the security breach happening yet again. On the other hand, it creates a certainty that the iOS 8 will definitely come during WWDC next month.
