When Evad3rs launched the jailbreak for iOS 7 fans were over the moon and when iOS 7.1 was launched, they assumed that a jailbreak would follow. However the Evad3rd team then said that they would not make a jailbreak for iOS 7.1 that would work on the iPhone 4S, the 5 and 5S.
What they did say though that pleased everyone was that they would be making one for iOS 8 when that comes out.
There was some good news for those that were waiting for iOS 7.1 jailbreak with older handsets as Winocm made a jailbreak for iOS 7.1 for the iPhone 4, the 4th gen iPod Touch and the first generation of the iPad.
Those with a handset that belongs to the newer generation will have to wait though as thanks to additional security on the devices a jailbreak hasn’t been made.
If all goes well we should see Apple launch a new iPhone 6 later on at the WWDC and it should have the latest OS on it.
