Apple might have already released the iOS 8 but many jailbreak iPhone fams are still stuck on the iOS 7.1.1 platform. The folks are clearly in desperation for a jailbreak to be developed for the iOS 7.1.1 but unfortunately, it won’t be happening at all.
Jailbreak developer, Evad3rs, confirmed this after announcing that they never wanted to entertain the iOS 7.1.1. The team of hackers added that they have been patiently waiting for the iOS 8 and now that Apple has released the latter, Evad3rs have been hard at work to crack the system open. It is more bad news for iOS 7.1.1 users as Evad3rs concluded by claiming that the ETA for the untethered iOS 8 is at least 3 months from now.
There is simply no way for jailbreak fans to break free from iOS 7.1.1 at the moment. This is unless they are using the iPhone 4. Another jailbreak developer called Winocm has developed the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak but it is only compatible with the iPhone 4, 4th generation iPod Touch and first generation iPad.
Winocm revealed that the Apple A4 processor is already cracked which made it easy for him to develop the untethered iOS 7.1.1. On the downside of things, any Apple devices newer than the iPhone 4 are unable to apply the jailbreak.
