Both the iPad Mini 3 and the Tesco Hudl 2 are two of the latest tablets in the market. The iPad Mini 3, as we all know it, is nothing more than an iPad Mini 2 except for the TouchID and multiple colours that comes with it. The Tesco Hudl 2 is simply a cheap tablet to own. So, which is better?
This might be a mismatch but it will definitely help the budget conscious folks. For starters, the Tesco Hudl 2 cost £129. In addition to that, there is a promotion going on where one piece of £5 voucher is regarded as £10 pound if spent on the Hudl 2. In other words, the tablet can be owned for just £65.
Paying this amount will give consumers a tablet that has an 8.3” display that runs on full HD resolution. In detail, the Hudl 2 offers 272ppi, which is pretty decent for a tablet at that size. This is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor with 2GB RAM that ensures a smooth and lag-free experience. Also, the Hudl 2 has a 16GB internal storage with microSD support, a 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front camera.
Then there is the iPad Mini 3, which is retailing at £319 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model. This is certainly a lot more expensive than the Hudl 2. Then again, consumers will be getting a well-crafted tablet built with premium materials. It has a sharper 7.9” screen that offers 326ppi and is powered by Apple’s 64-bit A7 processor and M7 co-processor with 1GB of RAM.
Like most other Apple devices, the iPad Mini 3 is being offered with three different internal storages. The entry level model has 16GB of internal memory. This is followed by 64GB and 128GB. The cameras on the iPad Mini 3 are identical to the Hudl 2.
So there we have it. Judging from the specs above, obviously the iPad Mini 3 is the better device. However, considering the fact that the iPad Mini 3 is 6 times more expensive than the Hudl2, we find that the tablet from Tesco is a better option.
