The Apple iPad Mini 2 Retina and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are two deities in the tablet industry. Both devices are built for power but how will it be lack when two titans clash against each other?
In terms of built quality, Samsung is always second best to Apple. The former prefers to stick to plastic whereas Apple offers a more premium feel with its metal finish.
The iPad Mini 2 features a 7.9” screen that offers 1024×768 pixels resolution. This is slightly smaller than the Note 8, which offers an 8” screen that comes with an S Pen.
Both tablets are equipped with a 5MP rear camera. As for the front shooter, the Galaxy Note 8 offers 1.3MP whereas the iPad Mini 2 offers 1.2MP.
Under the hood, Apple equipped the iPad with its dual-core A5 chip with 512MB RAM and iOS 7.1. The Note 8 on the other hand is powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos chip with 2GB RAM and Android 4.1.2 Jellybean.
While the Note 8 might be the more powerful tablet of the two, it is also cheaper by $30. The entry level iPad Mini 2 has a massive price tag of $330. However, there is no competing with the smoothness of the iOS.
