iOS 7.1 came out not long ago and this has led to fans of jailbreaking wondering when the Evad3rs will reveal the jailbreak for 7.1.
The iOS 7 Evasi0n jailbreak for iPhone, iPod and iPad was a total surprise as many people thought that the wait for it would be a long one. The jailbreak came out just three days before Christmas and it arrived with a great deal of controversy and drama. Now things have settled down and jailbreak tweaks along with themes have started to flood into the update section of Cydia.
Some people complained that the jailbreak had been released too early and that Apple would patch it with iOS 7.1. Now people are wondering when we will see the jailbreak for iOS 7.1 now that the GSM has been launched. The big question is whether the jailbreaking team is going to focus on releasing an iOS 7.1 jailbreak or if they will go for iOS 8.
Pod2g was talking about this and he said “For iOS 7.1, I don’t know … there is a big chance the evad3rs won’t focus on it as a team … expect that for iOS 8 :)”
However, he went on to say,
“If one day, I find myself bored and can put enough time and energy into it, I have some ideas for how to make a 7.1 jailbreak … depending on how it has been fixed and other external events.”
So it does look likely that we won’t see a jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and the team will concentrate on iOS 8. So for the time being if you have jailbroken your iOS 7 handset you may not want to update or you could lose it until iOS 8 appears.
