The bug appears to be affecting the TouchID feature where the feature failed to function. After many attempts, iPhone 5S users realized that their fingerprint is not matched with the one recorded by the smartphone. The issue has forced affected users to refer back to the traditional passcode.
Even when attempting to record a new fingerprint, the TouchID simple don’t want to work. Users claim that they can put their fingers on the scanner all day but the iPhone 5S won’t scan it.
Some users discovered that the remedy for this bug is to apply TouchID when the phone is plugged in to a charger. Other tips that might work against the bug are as follow:
• Delete all recorded prints before registering a new one.
• Restore iPhone 5S to its latest backup point. Then try the above method again.
• If everything doesn’t work, refer to Apple Support.
