It seems that the complaints about the battery draining down with the update to iOS 7.1.2 on the iPhone is growing as there has been more talk about the issue online.
One person said that they deleted all the Cydia substrate, which of course also deleted all the tweaks. They then downloaded each of the tweaks one by one and installed them, they used each tweak for around a couple of hours in between installations. If they saw battery drain then they uninstalled the tweak they had installed last.
They reported that SmartClose was one of the apps that caused them the most issues with battery drain along with Activator. Slide2kill was also said to cause issues as did Springtomize. They pointed out that any tweak that changes springboard or the status bar seems to cause issues with battery drain. HideMe7 did and they then tried Winterboard with Redwood installed, which didn’t seem to cause any battery drain issues.
The user said that they would install Activator again and test it out again as people in the jailbreak community have said that this should not have an impact on battery life.
