In the US there is not a lot of competition when it comes to the compact 4×4. At this moment in time it is just the Jeep Renegade, however Chevrolet have chosen not to let them rule the market by bringing out the Chevrolet Niva which is going to be their version of the Renegade.
Not a lot of details about the compact 4×4 have been released yet, however judging by the images that Chevrolet have released, the new Nivan is designed mainly for off road driving.
The car will include integrated lamp guards, a roof rack, a pair of BFGoodrich tires, a winch, auxiliary lighting, tow hooks, a snorkel and underbody cladding. Beyond all these feautures you will find the well known Chevy design.
Despite the Niva being a Lada car, the vehicle is being dreated by General Motors using a joint venture with Lada which began in 1998.
