Hyundai Tuscon Fix Their Safety Rating, Much Better Now

Much to the embarrassment of Hyundai, the Hyundai Tuscon was rated four stars by ANCAP. Not satisfied with the results, Hyundai quickly came out with a solution to get the safety rating back up.

After looking at the test result, the engineers made some changes to the driver’s footwell area so that the vehicle will be safer in a crash. They also made some improvement to the brake pedal mount.

The end result was a Hyundai Tuscon that came with a five-star safety rating from ANCAP. The upgrades will be applied on the Hyundai Tuscon Active, Highlander, and Elite build after the 16th of December. The Active X that is made on the 17th of November will also get the same safety upgrades.

So if you plan to get the Hyundai Tuscon, take a look at the production date if you want to get the one with the five-star safety rating instead of the four-star safety rating model.
