The HTC One M9 is the next big thing to come from the Taiwanese tech firm and like its predecessors, the device is expected to come with a screen size that measure about 5-inches.
Now, it seems that HTC has come to realize that they don’t actually need a large resolution since the One M9 is not going to be big. As such, HTC has decided to keep the full HD 1080p screen resolution and together with the larger batteries, the One M9 will be able to last longer than the One M8.
This is a very wise move from HTC, despite the trend pushing for 2K resolution. The problem with smartphones today is that they are growing larger and a bigger resolution is needed for viewing clarity.
If a smartphone is to have a 5” or below screen, having 2K resolution will be a waste as the sharpness is not that noticeable due to the smaller than average screen size.
