The HTC One M8 is built with a battery with an adequate capacity to keep the smartphone alive. However, the battery is not removable and users can’t upgrade them to that of a higher capacity like how Galaxy S5 users are able to. As such, we are giving away some tips to optimize the battery life on the HTC One M8.
It is as simple as setting up the ideal battery saving profile just by running through the notification bar quick settings menu on the device.
Start with the Brightness settings and check out the details to every brightness level below.
1. Auto: The light sensor decides the brightness of the screen.
2. Lowest: Maximizes battery life.
3. One-coloured line: 30% brightness for indoor environment.
4. Two coloured lines: 60% brightness for outdoor environment.
5. Three coloured lines: Maximum brightness for under sunlight environment.
The trick here is to go as low as possible but when things get too bright, don’t be afraid to jump one level higher.
Moving on, there is the connectivity of the One M8 which is also a power sucker. When not needed, ensure that the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are switched off. When users don’t intend to answer calls, messages or surf the web via cellular data, switch on airplane mode. The same applies for Mobile Data.
Finally is the Power Saver option. Everything here is pre-programmed and users can tweak it to the ideal settings they are comfortable with. There is the CPU Power, Display, Vibration and Data Connection settings to run through and it sure is effective.
