If you are a HTC One M7 user, then you are in for some good news. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is finally available for download but unfortunately, it is the unofficial one.
Regardless, we highly recommend you to apply this update as the chances for HTC to launch the official update to the old One M7 are unlikely to happen.
The update can be obtained from XDA’s newly developed Liquid Smooth ROM and there, you can also find the installation procedures. Furthermore, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is designed specifically for the One M7 so there are very few errors with it.
On the downside of things, applying the LS ROM will void the One M7’s warranty. Then again, considering that the device is more than two years old, there is no need to even think about the risk involved.
