HTC surprised everyone yesterday when it launched the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the old One M7. However, the update is only for the One M7 Dual-SIM model and nothing more.
This is disappointing as most M7 users are using the single-SIM model. Well, if you are among the many One M7 users that have been deprived of the Lollipop OS, we have a solution for you and that is XDA.
A senior developer had just produced the Liquid Smooth ROM and it contains the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The LS ROM is designed specifically for the One M7 smartphone with no prejudice to any particular models. Furthermore, the LS ROM is now in its stable build and you are encouraged to apply the update on your device.
Unfortunately however, the LS ROM can only be installed manually and it can be quite the hassle if you are new to smartphone programming. Then again, you don’t have anything to worry about as there is a thoroughly detailed instruction paired to the LS ROM at XDA.
