Yesterday, HTC made headlines when they rolled out the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update to the One M8. Over at the side lines, most One M7 users were watching in envy as they can’t wait to get their hands on the latest OS from Google.
While it may be happening soon, One M7 users can actually skip the wait and manually apply the Android 5.0.2 update now. This is possible thanks to XDA, which has just developed the LS ROM specifically for the HTC One M7.
Better known as the Liquid Smooth ROM, it basically contains the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and can be applied on any HTC One M7. With it, the users can finally get to enjoy the new features and design offered with the OS.
The downside to this is that applying the custom ROM will actually void the One M7’s warranty. Also, the ROM is in its early build so there are some issues with it. On the bright side of things, XDA has promised to launch fixes for the issues on the LS ROM.
With that being said, HTC One M7 users are encouraged to update their device right away. The LS ROM can be obtained at XDA’s website and there, One M7 users can also find the installation instructions too.
