HTC might have rolled out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the old One M7 but it is only for the dual SIM variant of the smartphone. For the standard One M7, there won’t be any Lollipop OS coming.
However, there is another way for One M7 users to obtain the Android 5.0 Lollipop update and it is through XDA. A senior developer at the website had just produced the Liquid Smooth ROM and it contains the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS.
The LS ROM is developed strictly for the HTC One M7. Hence, if you are a One M7 user, you are highly encouraged to apply the LS ROM on your device. Of course, this is only if you desire for the Lollipop OS badly.
The LS ROM is free of issues but installing it can be a tedious process since everything is done manually. Then again, there is nothing for you to worry about as the LS ROM also comes with a complete installation guide that is easy to follow.
