HTC One Android 4.4.2 Update Fixes One Major Gripe For Good

It has been a disappointing Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One users. Earlier this month, HTC rolled out the highly anticipated update which attracted complains from HTC One users.

It seems that there is an issue where the device won’t be able to connect to any Wi-Fi network after updating. The Taiwanese phone manufacturer immediately halted the update after receiving the feedback from the users.

Today, HTC did a re-release of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat to its HTC One devices. This time, it bears the build number 4.19.401.11 which brings with it the fix for the Wi-Fi issue. It is currently available in Europe and HTC One users can obtain the update OTA.

It is as simple as heading to Settings> About Phone> Software Update> Check Now. The update is on a phase roll out and very soon, it will reach out to other parts of the world. It will be much later if the device is attached to a carrier.

Of course, this update is only for the Wi-Fi fix. There is no new content coming with it. Aside from this, the KitKat should work fine and give the users the ultimate Android experience.
