Fans of the Nexus tablets have been anticipating the Google Nexus 10 2 for so long now. Many rumours have been suggesting the device’s release date but it failed to materialize. Now, a new rumour has surfaced which hints more on the Nexus 10 2 tablet.
It seems that HTC is revealed to be taking the helm for the Nexus 10 2’s development. The Taiwanese company has won the bid to create this most wanted slate from Google. The Nexus 10 2 is expected to be released later in third quarter this year. While it all sounds great, another rumour suggests that HTC will only be handling the Nexus 8 instead.
Previously, the Nexus tablets were developed by Samsung. The Korean company was expected to continue at the helm of production. HTC, on the other hand, has a bad record with tablets. The latest HTC Flyer has been nothing but disappointment. It could be that HTC is looking to make a comeback by sealing the opportunity to develop the next Nexus tablets.
With that in mind fans can expect the Nexus 10 2 to run on the 3Ghz quad-core processor with 3GB RAM. The device display is hinted to have a 2K screen with 2560 x 1600p.
Every Nexus device is known to create a new benchmark for every other device in the market. As such, there is a huge chance for the Android 4.5 Lollipop OS to feature on the Nexus 10 2.
Of course, this is still a rumour and best taken with a pinch of salt. Fans will just have to wait until more Google make the announcements accordingly.
