Mazda and Subaru have both managed to create fantastic crossover SUVs, however we would like to find out how the Mazda CX-5 Sport stands up against the Subaru XV Crosstrek 2.0i Premium.
The Mazda is a four wheel drive and has a six speed transmission whilst the Subaru is an all wheel trive together with five speed transmission. Bboth of the SUVs come with a 2 litre Gas 4 cylinder engine. The Mazda is four per cent more fuel efficient than the Subaru and offers 6.1 per cent better on the motorway.
The Subaru offers drivers a whole range of unique features which include climate control aircon, Bluetooth connectivity, heated front seats and hands free calling. There are some features which come with the Mazda that don’t come with the Subaru, which include one touch windows, cruise control, a power tilt stering, keyless ignition and powered exterior mirror control. The cars both have USB/iPod ports, auxiliary audio input jack and keyless entry.
The selling price for the Mazda CX-5 Sport is $21,395, while the Subaru XV Crosstrek 2.0i Premium costs slightly more at $21,995. So judging by the pricetag and fuel efficiency, it looks like it is the Mazda which is the winner here.
