It was initially believed that the Honda Civic SI model was going to make its appearance last year soon after the Honda Civic Coupe was reveal but that never happened which lead many of us to believe that there might not be a Honda Civic SI model this time around.
In order to match what they have done with the last 2015 Honda Civic, Honda will have to make sure the Honda Civic SI model delivers about 30% more horsepower than the standard model.
With the Honda Civic estimated to deliver about 174hp, that means that the Honda Civic SI will have to deliver about 226hp which is a lot to ask from the 4 cylinder engine that Honda is offering right now.
