Hold Up! Samsung Galaxy S3 Can’t Handle Android 4.3

The Android 4.3 JellyBean is already long released and the Samsung Galaxy S3 is about to get their hands on it. It has been months of wait for the S3 users to get an OS update and it came to their surprise to get the JellyBean instead of the Android version 4.2. Little it is known to why the 4.2 version get skipped for the Galaxy S3.

We are no stranger to what kind of features the JellyBean has got to offer. What we want to find out is what Samsung do that causes this long wait. Apparently there have been some additions and changes on the JellyBean for Samsung devices.

First and foremost is that the Android 4.3 has got its core UI changed to the ones found on the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3. Second, the S3 now supports Samsung’s wearables. Samsung didn’t release the change logs on the new firmware however you can still view them here.

While it all sounds great and beneficial, there is always a ‘but’. Apparently, Samsung Knox failed to make its entry on the 4.3 JellyBean and more importantly, there are already issues surfacing on the JellyBean. Samsung users report an issue that affected both their alarm and WiFi functions. The complains reveal that the two core phone functions no longer work so if these problems become widespread Samsung may stop further rollout.

With that being said, we might see a minor fix update to solve the particular issue.
