Fans of the gaming series Half Life have been tortured as they have been made to wait for a decade for Half Life 3 and it’s still not here yet. Typically when something bad happens they say that things can only get better, however when it comes to the Half Life community this may not apply.
WebHallen, the online retailer posted a product over on their website that had the whole gaming industry buzzing. The product was the Xbox One which came bundled with Half Life 3.
The posting went up on 1 April, so people quickly caught on that this was an April fool’s day joke. Now however the morale of Half Life 3 fans is on an all-time low as to be expected.
This was similar to the joke made by the developer of the Frostbite engine, Webhallen has caused damage to those waiting to hear news about Half Life 3. Of course those who are not waiting for Half Life 3 found it all to be very funny indeed.
The community of Half Life has been gutted, it could have been ok if the joke had hurt Valve too, it could have forced anger out of Gabe Newell and he could have announced Half Life 3, but it didn’t. Fans are still waiting to hear about the release of Half Life 3.
