It is hard to understand why Valve found it difficult to create a third sequel of their existing IPs. This is something that has been bugging fans of the Half Life franchise and the Left 4 Dead franchise that have been tirelessly waiting for Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 to arrive.
For the Half Life fans in particular, the waiting period has hit the decade mark last week. It is amazing how the fans were able to keep their hopes for Half Life 3 up for the whole 10 years while being bashed verbally by haters of the Half Life franchise.
Well, their resiliency is about to pay off. It was revealed back in March by Counter Strike co-creator, Minh Le, that he is developing Left 4 Dead 3. The lad added that he was thrilled when seeing the concept art for the upcoming third sequel and relates them to the Half Life 3 concept arts, which he studied within Valve’s headquarters.
Minh was composed throughout his announcement and even said that there is no need to go into detail. The lad teased that the fans are well informed that Half Life 3 is already in development so there isn’t anything worth mentioning.
Judging from Minh words, we can assume that Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 will be developed side-by-side. If this is to happen, we could see both titles sharing the same launch date and launching parties.
