Valve confirmed yesterday that they are currently producing Portal 2 and the announcement sparked a chain reaction that involves the Half Life fans. Apparently, Portal 2’s confirmation has caused the entire Half Life community to spam gaming forums with their conspiracy theories on Half Life 3.
One Half Life enthusiasts shared with us that the Half Life population is actually inspired by how Portal 2 was announced. For those who are unaware, Portal 2 was first discovered as an Easter egg in an ARG title. The player who discovered it shared his findings online and this has forced Valve to admit that they are producing Portal 2.
As such, Half Life fans are trying to create as much conspiracy theory on Half Life 3 as possible in hope for one of them to get confirmation by Valve. The fans actually believe that Valve has a creative way of announcing future games and if they are right, conspiracy theories might force Valve to finally announce on Half Life 3.
For many, this may sound ridiculous but in all of fairness, Half Life fans have already suffered enough in their wait for Half Life 3. As such, the fans have got nothing to lose with their latest practice and are hoping to end the wait for Half Life 3 that has spanned over a decade already.
