For more than a decade now, fans have been tireless waiting for Valve to develop Half Life 3. Unfortunately, Valve has yet to announce anything on Half Life 3, let alone on the possibilities coming with the third sequel.
It doesn’t help when fans experienced a massive cliff-hanger with the old Half Life 2. The ending of the game revealed that Gordon is extracted by the G-man and told that he’d receive further assignments. Now what could the assignments be referring to?
Well, this is already answered on the Half Life movie. The fan-made film saw the Combine, chasing the Borealis before finally understanding on its capabilities. Also, the previous title revealed that Alyx is fuelled with anger as she seeks to revenge the death of her father.
Another major information from the Half Life movie is with the destruction of the Borealis. It is also something that the G-Man has been continuously talking about for a while now. Furthermore, both Alyx and the G-Man desires for a similar outcome which puts them on the same page.
The idea portrayed by the movie might not be something official but it makes perfect sense. If there is some hope for Half Life fans to cling to, it is Half Life 3 coming with a near-similar plot.
