We are only in March 2015 and there are already numerous leaks on Half Life 3 which surfaced in the pace of three months. Of course, the biggest leak is over at Steam when the Half Life 3 logo was found attached to App 346960.
Now, rumours are rife in indicating that Half Life 3 is in production and it will get unveiled at the upcoming GDC event. Well, it is fine to get excited but the rumours don’t look like coming true at all.
This is due to the fact that GDC is not a prestigious event and it is not worthy of being the setting for Half Life 3’s announcement. Besides, the purpose of GDC is to unveil tech demos and Valve will probably be there to talk about their VR Headset project.
The other reason involves Half Life’s history. Apparently, every Half Life title was unveiled at E3 and we don’t feel that Valve is going to break that tradition with Half Life 3.
For the fans, they wouldn’t mind GDC just as long as they can know that Half Life 3 is being developed. Regardless, fans are advised to take the rumours with a pinch of salt to avoid a great deal of disappointment.
