For more than a decade already, fans of the Half Life franchise have been kept waiting for Half Life 3. Lately, there has been many leaks and signs that heavily suggest Half Life 3 being in production. This has got the entire Half Life community being hopeful for Half Life 3 to get announced at GDC.
Well, it is time to face reality as that is not going to happen at all. While Valve might have booked a slot at the convention, they won’t be using their time to talk about Half Life 3.
GDC is a small tech event that is not big enough to host Half Life 3’s announcement. Furthermore, it is very rare to hear a game getting announced at GDC and this further confirms that Half Life 3 won’t get announced at the happening.
Being a tech event, Valve will probably use their time to discuss more about their mega project which is the VR headset. If there is a platform that is ideal for Half Life 3’s announcement, it is at E3 this year.
