In detail, the latest reveal came from Gabe Newell and he claims that Half Life 3 is not in production at this moment. The co-founder of Valve and also the brains behind the Half Life series added that fans should not expect Half Life 3 to come out anytime soon.
The statement from Gabe was made on an interview and it does sound heart-breaking. Fans of the Half Life series have waited more than a decade for the sequel only to learn that it is still not in development.
Then again, there are two positives that can be taken from the interview. Firstly, Valve is finally talking about Half Life 3 instead of being all-secretive about it. Secondly, Gabe didn’t deny the possibility of Half Life 3 so the game is still bound for production but further in the future.
