It wasn’t that long ago when Vavle’s Steam got updated and an app with Half Life 3’s logo became part of Steam’s list. Of course, that has already been removed by Valve but now, yet another leak has been discovered in Dota 2.
One lad was doing a quick run through inside Dota 2’s tools and discovered the file name “game hl3”. While it wasn’t being specific, Half Life fans believe that hl3 basically means Half Life 3. On the other hand, nobody is able to tell on what the coded sentence is trying to say about Half Life 3.
For those of you that has yet to view the leak, the can check it out over at Steam and head over to :
“%STEAM_HOME%\SteamApps\common\dota 2 beta\dota_ugc\game\bin\win32\tools\model_editor.dll.”
For us, we feel that the hl3 reference in the leak is suggesting that there are some elements in Dota 2 that are used on Half Life 3 too. However, the best way to handle this leak is to take it with a pinch of salt and hope for the best with Half Life 3’s development.
