There’s been a lot of talk about GTA Online and the various mission income-related hassles. We think it’s about time we told you about the latest release news for GTA 5 on the PC. Rockstar has been silent on this subject, but we’ve got some evidence that suggests the PC version of GTA Online will be out early next year.
If you didn’t know, there’s a new AMD Catalyst driver for the right graphics card, and in the code for this driver is a snippet that points towards a PC version of GTA 5!
Look very closely, and you’ll see that the AMD Catalyst driver has support for a GTA5.exe, so what else could this be?
It’s looking like Rockstar’s cat is out of the bag, and this backs up rumours of a PC release in Q1 of 2014, which is around six to eight months after the next-gen consoles came out. This timing is traditional console-to-PC transition for Rockstar.
You do have to remember that this info is riding on other rumours about a PC and PS 4 GTA 5 version lurking in the Xbox 360 version. OK, whoever found it maybe shouldn’t have, but this doesn’t mean it ain’t so…
We’re wondering how much longer Rockstar’s going to sit on this – the company has to say something soon, even if it’s just to stop the griping about GTA Online.
