GTA 5 for the PS4 and Xbox One has been released worldwide yesterday and it left many gamers stuck on their couch, waiting for the day-one update to complete.
For GTA 5 on the PS4, in particular, the update is sized at 1.1GB, which is a problem for many gamers outside of the US. In some countries, the internet comes with a data cap and speed averages at less than 100kbps. In other words, it takes forever for the day-one download to complete.
Over at Australia, UK and other countries, PS4 gamers are facing an issue where they can’t download the update. Upon selecting the download option, it will redirect the players to the ‘Downloads’ page instead of downloading the patch.
This is the common problems with video games in this digital age. Consumers are acting too fast with every purchase and have to suffer the consequences. Some years ago, gamers can actually wait a week to get a game and by then, most faults are patched and ready to play.
