GTA 5 For PC Hits Gamestop

GameStop has gone ahead and confirmed GTA 5 for the PC on 9 March. On their website there is a listing for the action-adventure game in the PowerUp Rewards section. Gamers using PowerUp Rewards when trading in and buying can earn points which they can then use in the store for rewards.

At the moment the listing appears to have been taken down, but not before a gamers grabbed a screenshot of it.

It was only earlier on this month that the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto V appeared for pre-order on Worten.pt and this led gamers to believe that the game would arrive during 2014.

The site also listed the game but there hasn’t been a release date yet. When Eurogamer contacted them Worten said “We would inform you that we have the information that Worten stores will sell the game in question.”

SuperGamerz.cz also posted the game saying that it would be available on 13 June for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. However the cover art did look to be suspicious as it said “Games For Windows Live,” which is the collective name for a set of services and software that is no longer used by Microsoft.

We also saw leaked footage of the game in the middle of January. A gamer with the name of Warrockteam1 posted a clip which was said to show gameplay from the PC version of GTA V. However the video was taken down as YouTube complained about copyright infringement from Rockstar.

Some gamers said that they thought it was a fake and others said it was gameplay from another version of the PC edition of Grand Theft Auto V. Nuuvem, the Rio de Janeiro based electronic distributor said that the game was coming to the PC in March.

We have also heard a rumour from a retailer in Norway who said that the game would arrive on 18 March and that gamers could pre-order it. This is the same date that a rep from Amazon spoke about.
