The Nexus smartphone was always been seen as Google effort to help an android smartphone manufacturer but the new Pixel will put an end to that as new report seems to suggest that the new Pixel smartphone from Google will not have the brand on the manufacture on it.
We know that HTC will be the one in charge of producing the smartphones this year but they won’t be coming in with the HTC brand. Instead, the new Pixel and Pixel XL device will both come carrying Google’s name.
Which means that next set of Google smartphone is going to be a real Google device. Google probably had more to do with the smartphone while HTC will only be in charge of making them.
It will be interesting to see how the Pixel will differ from the Nexus device now that Google has a bigger role to play.
