In the past, the Nexus devices were always the first to offer the latest Snapdragon chip as well as their latest Android OS but it looks like that won’t be happening this time around.
While the device will most likely be sporting the new Android 7.0 Nougat, it looks like it will not be carrying the latest Snapdragon chip or at least that is what the benchmarks side GFXBench is showing.
The Nexus Sailfish was spotted getting benchmarked and from what we can see, the new HTC Nexus will be coming in with a 5inch display screen and will be running on the Snapdragon 820 processor. The Snapdragon 821 should be release by the time the Nexus arrives so it is odd to see Google skipping the chip.
The device will also come with a 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and will be equipped with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
