For starters turn on airplane mode when charging. It will switch off all radio waves which will make charging a breeze.
Then there is that habit for charging the Nexus 7 via USB, off a PC. The charge on a USB port is not as great as when the device is plugged in to an electrical socket. After all, they don’t call it charger for nothing.
Some chargers are built to stuff power in the device’s battery faster than average. This can result in the Nexus 7 to overheat. As such, it is best if the tablet is switched off throughout the charging process.
Other tips include avoid using dual USB port, the ASUS AI charger, USB charge booster and through battery calibration. If all of these can be monitored and executed, expect the Nexus 7 to charge faster than usual.
