LG has been very successful in developing both the Nexus 4 and 5. At the same time, there are rumours suggesting that Google will return to HTC and the Taiwanese company will create the Nexus 6. As such the Nexus 6 could either be based on the LG G3 or the HTC One M8.
Both are really powerful devices and would make a great Nexus 6 themselves. However, between the two, which is the stronger device? We have made a brief comparison and shall see on what the Nexus 6 should be.
Of course the LG G3 is still unreleased but there are so many leaks that we can use to compete against the powerful HTC One M8. In terms of built, the G3 is expected to have a plastic casing whereas the One M8 is metal. In this segment, fans are hoping for the Nexus 6 to be the HTC One M8.
Then there is the processor. The HTC One M8 runs on the latest Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM. The LG G3 is expected to be stronger with its 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 with 3GB RAM.
The display in the G3 is also going to be much better than the One M8. On the G3’s 5.3 inch screen, it will have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 2K HD display. The One M8 has a 5inch 1920 x 1080 display.
Then there is the camera. We all know the Ultra pixel 4MP on the HTC One M8. The G3 on the other hand will be equipped with the 16MP OIS camera.
Both devices have its strength and weakness. It would be way better if Google could mix & match them all. Nevertheless, the Nexus 6 will definitely be great phone and to top things off, it will come with the future Android 4.5 OS. On another note, expect it to be more expensive than the Nexus 5, but still cheaper than all the phones in its class.
