If you’re wondering what started all the buzz was last night about the Google Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat then we don’t blame you if you couldn’t figure it out.
Sunday afternoon, Google’s senior vice president, Vic Gundotra, posted a message on Google Circles with a very excited baby meme to accompany it. Here’s what he said exactly:
“Can’t sleep. Always happens to me on Sunday nights. Yes working at Google is that exciting.”
Now in no way did he mention that there was a potential Google Nexus 5 or Android 4.4 KitKat launch tomorrow but the first few comments by his friend’s circles were implying that. Some went even as far as to say that his seemingly mundane post was not actually what it appeared to be but a coded message. The words “can’t sleep” and exciting” were picked out and decoded as such:
“Exciting” is 8 letters.
8 = 4+4
4.4
“Can’t sleep” is 2 words and 9 letters. 29.
Android 4.4 KitKat confirmed for October 29th.
Now before you throw this out the window, there’s one more thing. The LG Nexus 4 was launched on October 29th 2012, exactly a year ago from the above mentioned date.
