Fans of the Google Nexus tablets have been waiting for the Nexus 10 2 since last year and there is still no sign of it today. Despite having so many rumours and speculations hinting on its release, there is a chance that Google might not even roll out a Nexus 10 2 at all.
A new rumour has surfaced revealing that Google is planning to downsize the tablet and it is revealed to be 8.9 inch instead of 10. This device will be known as the Nexus 9 and it might just replace the Nexus 8 or the Nexus 10.
As for the Nexus 7, it will remain in the blueprint as a 7inch slate is more profitable compared to larger tablets. Consumers can expect the Nexus 8.9 to be unveiled in this year’s I/O conference happening in late June.
Previously, we did highlight the rumours on HTC taking the helm on productions. If this is true, we can expect the Nexus 9 to run on either the nVidia Tegra 4 processor or the Qualcomm 800 Snapdragon with 3GB and Adreno GPU 330.
The slate will be equipped with a 32GB internal storage, an 8MP camera, 2.1MP front camera, 9500mAh battery and a 10inch display with 2560 x 1600 resolution at 299ppi.
