2 years ago, Google launched the Nexus 10 tablet and it was a hit. However, there is still no sign of the successor coming today. Now, rumours are suggesting that the highly anticipated Nexus 10 2 will be replaced by a Nexus 12 instead.
The rumours arrived following the release of Samsung Galaxy Pro tablets. The Korean company demonstrated four new giant tablets recently and they could end up being the base model for the Nexus 12.
In specific, both the Samsing Galaxy Note Pro and the Galaxy TabPro have a display that measures at 12.2”.
It won’t be anything new if Samsung were to take the helm for the Nexus 12’s production. The manufacturer has produced Nexus devices before and they can simply return to take on something new for Google.
As convincing as the scenario is, there is still a chance that the Nexus 10 2 will be made by LG or Asus. The former was a major success as it produces the Nexus 4 and 5 smartphones, whereas the latter was responsible for the birth of the Nexus 7.
The old Nexus 10 came out in November 2012 and it is about time Google starts production on its successor. There is a lot of anticipation for it and we can expect to learn more about the Nexus 10 2 when Google I/O kicks off next week on June 25.
