A recent report suggests that we could see the release of the Google Nexus 10 2nd gen by Q3 of this year and it could arrive with plenty of new features along with Android 5 and the Intel 64 bit processor.
Tehran Chronicle said that Google could be getting ready to launch the 2nd gen Google Nexus 10 during the third quarter, it was thought that they would launch it at the I/O over 25 to 26 June in San Francisco. It has been said that the tablet would launch with many new features and be packed with new hardware.
Grapevine meanwhile has speculated that the tablet will arrive with Android 5, while there has been reports that Android 5 will have the name Lollypop.
The tablet may have the 64 bit chip from Intel, Intel are said to be launching the 64 bit quad core Atom Moorefield processor at the MWC. It will then be available during the second half of the year.
At the moment it isn’t know which company Google will have chosen to be behind the Nexus 10 2nd gen, it has been rumoured that it could be Samsung. If so we could see a fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor included, along with the tablet being waterproof, as the Samsung Galaxy S5 is. HTC and ASUS have also been rumoured to be possible makers.
Rumoured features and specs of the Google Nexus 10 2nd gen include a display of 10 inches with 2560 x 1600 resolution, which would have the protection of Gorilla Glass 3. There could be the Snapdragon 2.3Ghz processor or perhaps the Nvidia Tegra 4. It may include 3GB of RAM along with the Adreno 330 GPU. It is thought that the tablet could be offered in choices of 16GB or 32GB, a camera of 8MP could be on the back and a 2.1MP on the front. It may support dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual side NFC and have a battery of 9500mAh.
