Samsung Galaxy S5 is days away from its international debut but the overwhelming anticipation for the device are deviating away to other devices coming from the same company. They are the Galaxy S5 Mini and the Galaxy Note 4.
Like the Galaxy S4, the S5 will have siblings as well and the S5 Mini will look to be part of the family. This downsized version of the S5 is rumoured to run on a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB RAM. It will have a 720p AMOLED display and an 8MP rear camera along with a 2MP front camera. More importantly, it is both dustproof and waterproof like the original S5.
The S5 Mini is expected to be the cheaper alternative for consumers as they will get a feel of the main S5 and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat. If they wish to splurge on a new phone, there is the Note 4 to look forward to.
This upcoming phablet is rumoured to have a powerful display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. It will run on either the Exynos processor with 6 cores or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. The RAM will be boosted to 4GB and has a 20.7MP rear camera, capable of 4K video recording. Also, the Note 4 will be IP67 certified as well. The sweet thing about the phablet is that it might come with the future Android 4.5 and there is a whopping 128GB internal memory to toy with.
For the consumers, it is either settling for the cheap or go all out. The original Galaxy S5 is considered to be a sneak peak of all the greatness that is to come from Samsung. As such, it is beginning to lose its appeal.
