The Subaru WRX STi started out great but years of minimal upgrades meant that their competition had plenty of time to catch up and overtake the Subaru WRX STi and that is exactly what’s happening right now.
Powering the Ford Focus RS is a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine that will be delivering about 350hp. The Subaru WRX STi, on the other hand, will come running on a 305hp engine. Not only will the Ford Focus RS be delivering more but it also has a more aerodynamic shape which will give it more advantage over the Subaru WRX STi.
The Ford Focus RS will also be coming in with a few other new features including the new Drift Mode features and the Ford Performance all-wheel drive system. With an offering like that, it does feel like the Subaru WRX STi does not stand a chance right now.
