Final Fantasy is one of the longest gaming series in history. Soon, Square Enix will be releasing the Final Fantasy 15 and it will be continuing from where Final Fantasy 14 left off. For us, that is not particularly important.
Our focus is actually on Final Fantasy 15’s gameplay that has tremendously evolved from the very first Final Fantasy title. With every new sequel in the series, the gameplay in Final Fantasy continuously evolved to be more like the Kingdom Hearts series.
As a matter of fact, the Final Fantasy series is directed by Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura. Now that he has left the franchise to work solely on Kingdom Hearts 3, the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 is going to take a big leap in changing its gameplay mechanism.
What was once a turn-based combat system is now replaced by the system from the Kingdom Hearts series. This is particularly important for Final Fantasy 15 as the game is very fast-paced and having a turn-based combat system will spoil the momentum. The new real time battle system on Final Fantasy 15 will tremendously improve the gaming experience.
Truly, Tetsuya Nomura is a gaming genius. It seems that whatever the lad does for on Kingdom Hearts 3, it will also benefit the Final Fantasy series. The same pattern works on the opposite direction.
Both Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15 will have a lot of things in common. With the latter due for a release ahead of the former, Kingdom Hearts fans can try picking up the game just to get a glimpse on how Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be like.
