Can you remember when Survivor2299 fooled the community of Fallout members with the hoax website? Another series also looked like it would be suffering the same fate, this was Dishonoured.
Fans blamed Bethesda as they didn’t reveal any information and this meant that gamers were looking online and had a tendency to believe just about anything and everything that they heard.
Dishonoured 2 haven’t been revealed by the developer, but one fan said that an email had been received along with the logo of the game, a date and hashtag link.
Of course this went viral despite the fact that the particulars of the sender didn’t seem to be kosher as they were erased. In case you didn’t hear about this, it said “Witness the full reveal at E3 2014.” In addition to that, the hashtag reads “#DarknessOfTyvia”.
As always it did look like the real deal as it was nicely done. But fans didn’t want to get their hopes up after what happened with Fallout fans.
Bethesda does seem to keep quiet a lot and so they do bring it on themselves, or rather their fans.
