Anyone but those who are adamant enthusiasts of Fallout were fooled some time back by a website that appeared which came from someone with the name of TheSurvivor2299. Now it appears that he or she has struck again. The con managed to fool a lot of people into thinking that Fallout 4 was here. However the hoaxer did come clean but it left many fans of the game traumatised.
The site was taken down after the incident but it seems that now Survivor2299 has made a comeback and there is a new set of puzzles along with cryptic messages. There is also the promise of something big happening this spring.
Now fans of Fallout 4 should not get too excited as it seems that this isn’t about Fallout 4. This seems to be a continuation of the viral ARG.
Bethesda of course don’t do anything to help fans, however this time around they did speak up and stopped fans from falling victim to yet another hoax. Pete Hines took to Twitter and said that the website did not have anything to do with Fallout 4.
The hoaxer had the cheek to go on Reddit and tell the community there himself. Survivor2299 is revealing a mod that will continue from where Fallout New Vegas left off. Anyone who is interested in seeing the DCHoaxers work should check him out in the forum.
